Identity and Background Check
Please note the following training requirements set by the German Federal Aviation Office (LBA):
- Each training participant must, at the time of the training, have an officially approved and still valid security clearance (ZÜP) in accordance with §7 of the Aviation Security Act (LuftSiG). If this is not available, an application must first be submitted to the responsible state aviation security authority.
- The validity dates from the ZÜP must be provided to us as the training provider by the company's aviation security officer (LSB) or a person designated by them, before the training begins. For this, a so-called declaraton from the aviation security officer with a special form must be sent to us in advance, as directed by the German Federal Aviation Office (LBA), and renewed annually.
- After reviewing the declaration from the aviation security officer, we will grant access for the designated persons and the aviation security officer themselves to enter the ZÜP data online. Each time the ZÜP data for a training participant needs to be entered, the individuals mentioned above will receive an email notification.
- In addition to the entry and the presence of a positively confirmed and valid ZÜP at the time of the training, an official registration for the aviation security training for the LBA is also required and must be documented. This registration can be done by the same group of people from the company responsible for the training, who transmit the ZÜP data. The registration can also be completed online, and an email notification will be sent to the relevant individuals.
If both the entry of the ZÜP data and the registration for the aviation security training are required for a training participant, both entries will be requested in a two-step process immediately one after the other online. - During the aviation security training, an identity check of the training participant must – as directed by the German Federal Aviation Office (LBA) – now also take place once a day for online aviation security training. We will perform this check using a camera in accordance with LBA guidelines. The training participant must have a valid government-issued identification document available and show it – along with themselves – to a camera (e.g., webcam) for verification. More information on the ID check can be found in our FAQ.
